Information received - JPS Limited received a print schedule for one year and samples of previous printed copies. We attended meetings to discuss requirements and priorities in detail with both the Marketing and Production departments.

JPS Activity

• Paper - Using our knowledge of the paper market we came up with three suitable grades of paper. We then contacted each paper supplier with the paper tonnage requirement for one year to obtain the best possible deal on each grade of paper as well as the best possible credit terms.
• Print - JPS contacted around twenty UK and European printers with the most suitable machinery to produce this work. We also requested from each printer a similar but more cost effective size/pagination for each product to offer as an alternative, as well as the best credit terms available for print.

Information given to client - JPS supplied a schedule of print and paper prices for one year, based on our client's exact requirements. These prices included all JPS Limited fees for sourcing, ordering, scheduling, press passing and managing from data to final delivery the clients' catalogue requirement. The schedule of print and paper prices was based on most cost effective and closest alternative to the original requirements. Again, these included all fees. All suppliers we used are tried and tested with a proven track record of quality and reliability. JPS also provided samples of print from each supplier and plain and printed paper samples from each mill.

Obtaining the business - When the client compared JPS Limited costs to existing costs they were pleasantly surprised that they could improve the quality of their product, have their entire print requirement managed, and still save money.

Result - An excellent account for JPS Limited and a very satisfied client.
