John's career in print began almost 35 years ago when, as a graduate of London College of Print, he joined BPC as a management trainee and worked for several years in production planning and control, then customer services across the UK & Europe.His experience at BPC included HSWO, gravure & sheet fed and all types of volume binding.

After three years in London Sales for RR Donnelly he joined contract publishers Headway Home & Law as Production Director. For the next eight years, John was responsible for a department of 12 as well as purchasing many thousands of tonnes of paper and 40k pages of high quality repro for 90 million magazines per annum. Clients here included BA Highlife magazine, Wedding & Home, Nat West, Boots, The Co-op, Abbey National, Burton Group and Debenhams.

Since setting up JPS South in 1994, John has provided a professional consultancy to clients including Ford UK, Orange, Coopers of Stortford, Woolworths, Nectar and Debenhams Direct.
